Job Summary:
As a Horticulturist at Mueller Landscape Inc., you will play a key role in transforming clients landscapes by developing custom plant health and landscaping improvement plans. You'll meet with homeowners to assess their gardens, diagnose plant health issues, and create tailored care plans that include proper watering schedules, pest treatment strategies, and overall plant care. Additionally, youll train our maintenance crews on best horticultural practices and techniques, ensuring they deliver top-tier service to all clients. You will also have the opportunity to upsell additional services and landscape improvements to existing clients, enhancing both their gardens and our business.

Responsibilities:

• - Meet with clients to evaluate their landscaping needs and create detailed game plans for plant health, garden improvements, and maintenance schedules.


• - Provide expert advice on plant selection, watering, soil management, pest control, and other horticultural concerns.


• - Develop and implement training programs for landscape maintenance crews on gardening techniques and proper plant care.


• - Work with clients to identify and recommend opportunities for landscape improvements and additional services.


• - Monitor and ensure the health and vitality of plants in clients' landscapes, providing ongoing recommendations as needed.


• - Upsell landscaping services, including plant upgrades, irrigation system enhancements, and long-term care solutions.


• - Collaborate with the operations team to align landscape maintenance services with client needs and horticultural best practices.

Qualifications:

• - Degree or certification in Horticulture, Botany, or a related field.


• - Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in horticulture, landscaping, or garden care.


• - Strong knowledge of plant care, pests, disease management, irrigation systems, and landscaping design.


• - Excellent communication and client service skills, with a passion for customer satisfaction.


• - Experience training or mentoring teams is a plus.


• - Ability to identify plant health issues and recommend effective treatments.


• - Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.


• - Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
