Mechanical Project Engineer
Job Description
Responsible for designing material handling equipment such as conveyor belts and other machinery. Based on specific requirements from the facility, you will design solutions which can include adding capacity, retrofitting areas for new equipment, or rearranging existing equipment within the facility. You will figure out layouts of the site and create the scope of work for the project. Responsibilities include writing RFPs, working with vendors for site selection, and working on engineering design and hand-off to execution. Up to 50% travel is required for site visits.
Hard Skills
+ Mechanical Design of material handling equipment
+ Experience with AutoCAD 2D and Solidworks
+ Bachelors degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, electrical, manufacturing)
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience in Design Engineering
Work Environment
This person will report to the Industrial Design Manager. The position is an 11-month contract initially. After 11 months, you may be evaluated for a full-time role, extended for up to another 13 months, or begin finding alternative employment either with the client or other local customers.
