We are Cornerstone, entering our fourth decade as a premiere live event production company. We’re seeking an Event Designer to join our team—where you’ll use your talent and passion for creating immersive, transformative brand experiences – and to help us maintain and solidify our place as an industry design leader.
In this position, you’ll assist in designing large-scale events and parties for top-tier companies throughout North America and internationally. And that creative muscle you like to flex—it will consistently get a workout!

- Work closely with team members to translate ideas and objectives into captivating concepts, experiences, and environments—while adhering to brands, strategies, budgets, and other outlined parameters.
- Develop mood boards and digital sketches to showcase concepts. Partner with 3D artists to translate concepts into digital representations and to develop build drawings/schematics.
- Provide specs and material direction for environments, builds, florals, linens, etc. Support sourcing items, supply costs, and complete ordering processes as assigned.
- When assigned attend site visits to ensure understanding of facility spaces, capabilities, and/or restrictions. Take notes, photos/videos, etc.
- Support pre-event needs for scenic/environmental tasks, sourcing, builds, and design completion. Actively participate on-site setting up events/parties and executing all designs assignments through completion of show.
- Stay current on event design/trends, industry materials/resources, vendor capabilities, etc. Always be looking for and developing new ideas so you have concepts at the ready.
- Actively contribute to brainstorms, reviews, strategy meetings, etc. Maintain positive working relationships within all areas of the business, and with all external clients, vendors, and contractors.
- BA/BFA in interior design, environmental design, hospitality management, experience design, or related discipline.
- Portfolio required—showcasing experience in interior design, event design, tradeshow design, styling, theatre/scenic design, retail styling, floral arrangements, parties, etc.
- Experienced in Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Keynote, and Microsoft Office programs.
- Strong team player, with the ability to work independently or collectively. Follows and receives direction well, positively applying feedback.
- Excellent communication skills. Detailed oriented/organized. Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work within tight time frames.
- Ability to travel as needed to support assignments. Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed for events.
- Applicants must reside in Utah or being willing to relocate. (No relocation packages will be offered.)
