A Senior Circuit Board Designer is needed to perform a variety of design drawing tasks including RF/chip & wire PCB design, Rigid-flex PCB and various advanced electrical designs for aircraft based systems.
The position will require working with engineers to accumulate all documentation of critical system components, requirements, environmental constraints, estimated size, weight and power, and schedule. This critical system component information will be used to generate custom printed circuit board design files and drawings that can be reviewed and changed by program team leads and managers. Once the custom PCB designs and drawings are approved, the designs will be manufactured and integrated at the system level. The individual will need to generate complete electrical drawing packages to support the component procurement, PCB/MCM/substrate fabrication, assembly, and electrical inspection to insure accuracy and completeness of each design prior to system integration and test.
Required Skills:
-Current experience with Mentor Graphics Expedition, DxDesigner & AutoCad.
-Experience w/High Speed, Multi-Layer, Digital, Analog, RF, Flex, Controlled Impedance, Differential and Mixed Signal, (BGA’s, CCGA’s, Micro-Vias, Buried Resistors), Auto-routers.
-Demonstrated ability to design MCMs and work in various advanced RF dielectrics and substrate technologies.
-10+ years relevant CAD experience.
Preferred Skills:
-Experience with SolidWorks, Mentor DxDataBook and CES (Constraint Editor System) and IPC CID or CID+ certification.
-Experience working with electronics fabrication and assemblies facilities from preliminary quoting to final inspection after assembly.
-Experience with space grade components
Education:
-BS or Trade School plus 10 years minimum experience
-An interim clearance is sufficient to start for this position
