Summary
Asemio’s team is in search of contract help to develop and support the review of technical solutions content for various audiences (both technical and non-technical). Content will be utilized in white papers, sales and marketing collateral and/or Federal and State & Local grant proposals.
About the work
You will be contracted to work on grant and marketing efforts to improve Asemio’s and Asemio partners’ ability to describe Asemio solutions including: Salesforce Implementations, Custom Software Solutions, Data and Analytics Services, and Strategy and Consulting. You will work with leads from our Grants and Marketing & Sales teams completing content generation and review activities to support Asemio’s timely completion of Marketing collateral, white papers/case studies and/or grant proposals.
Related Certification, Education, or Experience
- College degree, English, Journalism or Communications-related preferred (or with 4-6 years of equivalent experience)
- Experience in writing about technology solutions (i.e., integrated data systems, software development) for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Social impact / mission-focused domain expertise or experience is a plus
Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (or four years of equivalent experience): A strong foundation in writing, editing, and language skills is required. (Required)
- Advanced degree or coursework in nonprofit management, grant writing, or public administration since the candidate will be asked to edit complex and technical grant proposals. (Preferred)
- Professional certifications in editing or grant writing (such as certifications from the American Grant Writers' Association or the Editorial Freelancers Association) demonstrating experience in proposal content. (Preferred)
Skills
- Demonstrated experience in copy editing and proofreading large grant proposals and related content for non-profit or mission-driven organizations, with a focus on clarity, accuracy, and persuasiveness.
- Proven grant writing or grant editing background with a successful track record of contributing to funded proposals, especially for federal grants like NSF, NIH, or other large grant-making organizations.
- Strong understanding of grant requirements and terminology as well as the ability to follow complex guidelines and align content to specific funder expectations and language preferences.
- Attention to detail and consistency in style and formatting, with a solid grasp of grammar, spelling, and usage, ensuring all content adheres to organizational voice and branding standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively with writers, project managers, and subject matter experts, refining content for coherence, impact, and compliance with grant specifications.
