Title: Language Editor & Content Translator
Remote
Pay rate - $30 to $35/hr on w2 (Depends on exp)

Overview of the Role: We're looking for a skilled Language Editor and Content Translator to help Airbnb’s Community Support team provide top-quality training materials across multiple languages—English, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese. This role is essential to making sure that everyone, no matter where they’re from, has clear, accurate, and culturally relevant learning content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translation & Review: Translate training materials from English into Japanese, Korean, or Simplified Chinese. Review and edit machine translations to ensure they’re accurate and culturally sensitive.
  • Localization: Tailor training content to match the local culture, including using relevant screenshots, images, and examples to make content relatable for each language audience.
  • Content Development Support: Work with content designers to build engaging training materials and programs.
  • Content Updates: Manage updates and requests for training programs, keep track of changes, and communicate updates with teams as needed.

Skills Required:

  • Translation Experience: 3–5 years of experience in translating, reviewing, or creating content, especially for eLearning or instructor-led training environments.
  • Language Fluency: Fluent in English and native proficiency in either Japanese, Korean, or Simplified Chinese.
  • Tools Expertise: Skilled in Articulate tools (Rise 360 and Storyline 360) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere). Experience with Translation Management software.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication with a focus on accuracy, adaptability, and detail.
  • Collaborative Attitude: Able to work with team members from different cultures and time zones, accepting feedback constructively.
  • Technical Comfort: Comfortable working on both Mac and Windows platforms and using Google Suite for collaborative work.
