In this role, you will review all medical communications pieces (slide presentations of scientific data; scientific communication platforms; print pieces [eg, monographs, brochures, workbooks]; meeting materials; storyboards, videos, and scripts; KOL profiles, etc) developed by Cadent, ensuring all are accurate and professional from a grammatical, scientific, and style perspective and meet client and industry standards. You will:? Perform all editorial reviews (ie, initial full-edit through release), including copy edits, W4Ws, check changes, and does a final read at designated times in the job life cycle Review for content, grammar, and spelling as well as for AMA or client style and consistency within the piece and among related projects Research permissions for reuse of copyrighted material in Cadent projects (both NCCN Guidelines and Copyright Clearance) Attend status and kickoff meetings for assigned accounts Ensure the quality of format and visual quality of layout Create and maintain comprehensive style guides for all assigned accounts Establish solid working relationships with all internal teams and editorial colleagues Accurately track time spent on each job and enters in time-tracking system on a daily basis Assist as a training/mentoring resource for freelance or newer employees Promote collaborative approach among team members by taking the initiative in establishing and maintaining the flow of communications Essential Requirements: Bachelor's degree in English or related field 3-5 years' experience in medical communications Proficient in AMA style and following detailed style guides Proficient in basic grammar and spelling rules Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (ie, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook) Skilled in editing digitally using software such as Adobe Acrobat Pro markup tools and track changes in Microsoft Word Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and prioritize tasks Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact with internal team members Willingness to assume a mentoring role within the Editorial department Desired Requirements: 5-8 years' experience in medical communications Master's degree in a related field and/or related certification (eg, ELS, CMPP) The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $65-75 but may vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role.
