Job Summary:


We are looking for an Image Editing Associate to join our team! The role consists of retouching and sizing the raw images from the Production Photographer for publication to the ERP system and copyright.


Key Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Manipulate images from the in-house Production Photographer.
  • Editing will include cropping, image retouching, cleaning up backgrounds, re-sizing and converting images to sRGB color profile and renaming the images according to established naming conventions.
  • Organize the online image catalog within the database. Your knowledge of the Company’s image database will make you the main point of contact for team members looking for images of specific styles.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across all departments to fulfill photo requests.
  • Prioritize and assign image edits, ensuring that all image requests are completed in a timely manner.
  • Assist Production Photographer during in-house photo sessions. During photoshoots, you will be stationed at a computer, tagging the styles that are currently being shot and organizing them within our database.
  • Oversight of digital photography workflow, including maintenance of photography archives.
     

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field.
  • 2 - 5+ years of digital photography experience in a creative firm or as an independent freelancer.
  • Expertise in luxury goods photography, preferably jewelry and watch photography is a plus.
  • Must provide a strong portfolio showcasing photo manipulation skills and finished image rendition.
  • Highly proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Capture One, Helicon Focus.
  • Able to prioritize, multitask, and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Seasoned working under tight deadlines and be able to meet quick turnarounds, while producing high-quality images.
  • Solid understanding of styling, lighting, and image formats.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a professional manner, both verbally and written.
  • Ability to work independently.
