Job Summary The Marketing Events Manager at Mountain America Credit Union (MACU) will manage and provide leadership to External & Internal Event Teams and Interns. Directs the diverse portfolio of events, including branch openings, community events, and sports marketing events. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a passion for representing Mountain America effectively within the community and among our membership base. Job Description SCHEDULE Full-Time LOCATION In-Office, On-Site work To be effective, an individual must be able to perform each job duty successfully. Marketing Events Strategy & Execution Contribute to the overall Marketing Events strategy in coordination with the Marketing leadership team. Work closely with marketing leaders and product channel managers to execute overall product marketing strategies. Develop proposals for new promotions and events, manage projects and ensure milestones are on track and deadlines are met. Partners with marketing leadership on strategic marketing plans to drive new account growth, increase products and services per household through various events. Conduct research and gather resources to assist staff in making informed decisions about event possibilities. Research and recommend event venues that offer strategic opportunities for brand exposure and profitable returns on investment (ROIs). Generate weekly and monthly reports on event outcomes, including ROI data. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth. Knowledge of credit union products and services preferred. Ensure compliance regulatory requirements for all event activities. Adaptive to change, responds positively to altered circumstances or conditions. Possess a desire and willingness to learn and continually update knowledge base on financial concepts, strategies, systems etc. Take initiative to be a problem solver and provide suggestions to improve processes and efficiencies. Excellent inter-personal skills including the ability to lead and collaborate with ad-hoc teams Data analytics and data validation skills and proficiency in business data analysis (MS Excel, etc.) Valid driver license and good driving record required. Language Skills Demonstrated ability to clearly express ideas, methodology, results and recommendations verbally, in writing and through insightful reports and graphic illustrations Demonstrated ability to document outcomes and present information in a manner appropriate for key stakeholders and all levels of the organization. Experience Six or more years marketing, public relations, or events experience Education Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in business, marketing, finance, or related field preferred. An additional four years of progressive professional experience may be substituted in place of a degree. Education will be verified. Managerial Responsibility Has management responsibilities that are direct or through work leaders or assistants. Estimates personnel needs and assigns work to meet these needs. Supervises, coordinates, and reviews the work of assigned staff. Recommends candidates for employment, conducts performance evaluations and salary reviews for assigned staff, and applies company policy. Computer/Office Equipment Skills Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Experience with analytical and reporting software preferred Additional Duties Flexible hours, overnight travel and weekend work is required. Perform other duties as assigned. Budget Management, Equipment Oversight, and Event Logistics Oversee all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, staffing, catering, and audiovisual requirements. Handle all event logistics, including equipment, signage, shipping, transportation, giveaways, handouts, food, and beverage. Manage multiple budgets including the equipment budget and promotional items budget. Keep all equipment up-to-date, functional, relevant, and properly maintained. Oversee all marketing vehicles (MACU Mobiles) to ensure proper usage and maintenance. Verify that authorized users operate the vehicles. Stakeholder & Contract Management Serve as the liaison with vendors, marketing team members, internal departments, and branches on event-related matters and event-related projects. Own certain marketing partnerships with vendors by building strong relationships, owning the communication, and serving as a brand ambassador for these relationships. Manage select event contracts and negotiate contracts as assigned. Manages the event calendar and works with the marketing department and internal departments to ensure best-in-class communication and promotion of events. Personally represent MACU in interactions with event attendees, and professionally coordinate with MACU executives and staff. Team Management & Development Lead, mentor, and train Marketing Event team members (including external and internal team members and interns) to ensure successful event execution. Develop training content for quarterly team training and event production. Identify and address gaps or challenges faced by on-call event associates and interns by providing appropriate training and resources. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that encourages creativity, innovation, and excellence in event planning and execution. Events Planning & Execution Responsible for the majority of planning and executing marketing events. Develop and implement comprehensive event marketing plans to promote Mountain America through events and plans that drive new account growth, increase products and services per household utilizing assets and channels through various events. Develop and implement comprehensive event plans, timelines, and budgets. Takes ownership over the marketing event budget by tracking and staying within budget. Reports back to marketing leadership on budget adherence. Ensure that events are managed appropriately to deliver a strong brand experience and support the credit union's mission, vision, and values while providing education on available products and services. Administer project management for assigned events and ensures timely achievement of milestones and adherence to deadlines. Propose new ideas to improve the event planning and implementation process.
