is seeking an
Undergraduate Writing Coach - Adjunct Faculty
to join our team starting in the
Spring 2025 semester . This position is hired as undergraduate adjunct faculty and plays a vital role in supporting the writing needs of students across our health science programs. The Undergraduate Writing Coach will provide assistance with developmental writing and respond to general writing requests from undergraduate students using our institutional Qualtrics ticket system. Additionally, the coach may support master’s level students as assigned by the Dean, based on usage and demand. Job Duties & Responsibilities:Delivers effective, engaging instruction with mastery of subject matter.Establishes clear learning objectives and prepares thoroughly for classes.Uses diverse teaching methods to foster student interest and growth.Provides timely, constructive feedback and assesses student learning.Collaborates on curriculum development and revises courses for effectiveness.Maintains professionalism, punctuality, and reliability in all responsibilities.Supports college initiatives and responds promptly to communications.Participates in meetings and fulfills all job-related obligations.
Location:Nebraska Methodist College - 720 N 87th St, Omaha, NE 68114.
Schedule:Part-time.Flexible work schedule.
Job Qualifications:Completion of terminal degree appropriate to the assigned discipline from a regionally accredited institution required, with at least 18 semester hours in a content-specific field.Master’s and/or doctoral degree in a related field preferred.Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience required; post-secondary teaching experience preferred.
