Activewear DesignerNew York City (Hybrid)**Portfolio Required**
We are seeking a highly skilled Activewear Designer to join our team on a short-term contract, responsible for creating commercially viable designs for our activewear collection. The ideal candidate will bring a keen eye for innovative style, expertise in fabric and fit, and the ability to capture and convey the brand’s identity through modern, trend-forward activewear designs.Responsibilities:Design Development:
Create compelling, brand-aligned activewear designs that reflect current trends while maintaining the brand’s identity and integrity.Trend Research:
Conduct research on fashion trends, consumer needs, and competitor analysis to inform designs that meet market demand and align with the brand’s strategic direction.Prototyping & Technical Execution:
Produce design sketches, tech packs, and prototypes, with detailed specifications focused on construction, fit, and fabric.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Design or equivalent experience.Minimum of 5 years in a comparable retail environment, with a focus on activewear or performance wear.Strong portfolio showcasing original designs and successful product lines in activewear.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and Microsoft Office; experience with Centric PLM software is a plus.
