We
currently have a great opportunity for an Associate Woven Dress Designer. The Associate Designer will assist the Senior Designer with the execution of vision, style, and aesthetic, for our womenswear brands. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Assist in product development at all stages under guidance of designers: sketching, detail sketches, tech-packing (proto stage), trend presentation brochures, presentation boards etc.Coordinate samples: check in proto and sale samples, track organize and archiveMeasure protos in preparation for fittingHelps maintain fabric assortment for each seasonAssist in generating and updating line sheets and color cardsUnderstand the customers by doing market researchDevelop comprehensive knowledge of the customer and competitionShop retail floorConcept researchAdhere to due dates for all stages of designAble to adjust to changing business needsAdjust to Time and Action calendar changesSend out and follow up on packages for overseas vendorsCoordinate sample requests from sales and marketingAttend fittings with production and technical designWork with design, sales and production to effectively communicate departmental needs and design requests.Participate in group meetings and trend shopping

Minimum of an associate degree in Fashion or BA in related scienceMinimum of 2 - 3 years of professional experience in woven categoryMust be able to spec a garmentProficient in Illustrator & PLMMust have strong technical knowledge and ability to create tech packs.

Salary Range: 55K-70K *Actual base salary for this role within the above range will be based upon experience, qualifications and/or assigned unit.
