THE ROLEConduct trend research, competitive analysis, and market studies to inform the design process. Stay updated on the latest styles, techniques, materials, and innovations to bring fresh ideas to the collectionCollaborate with the Senior Designer to translate conceptual ideas into detailed sketches and designs for the cut and sew across both men's and women's collectionsPrepare samples, garments, and documentation for fittings and design reviews. Organize and set up fitting sessions to ensure a smooth and efficient processParticipate in fittings by taking notes, making adjustments, and assisting the Senior Designer. Use feedback to refine designs and improve garment constructionMeasure garments and take detailed specifications to ensure accurate fit and construction. Record all changes and updates for reference in the tech packsCreate and maintain detailed tech packs for each style, including construction details, measurements, and material specifications. Ensure tech packs are kept up-to-date throughout the development processManage the organization of all design boards, binders, and fabric swatches. Maintain a clean and accessible library of references and materialsLiaise with overseas factories to ensure designs are executed accurately. Communicate updates, technical specifications, and any changes to garment designs or materialsProvide minimal support with fabric sourcing, testing, and selection, and assist as needed with coordinating mills and fabric suppliers

THE IDEAL CANDIDATEBachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or a related field2+ years of experience in knitwear design, preferably in cut and sewStrong sketching and design skills, with proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and PhotoshopKnowledge of garment construction, fabric properties, and garment developmentExcellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentExperience with fittings, tech packs, and factory communicationA passion for fashion, creativity, and an eye for detail

WHAT WE OFFER YOUCompetitive compensation. Salary Range is $60,000 - $70,000 + target bonus.
