Associate Designer - Women's Activewear

We’re looking for an Associate Designer for our Women's activewear business! This person will work closely with our Senior Designer and Director of Design. We are looking for someone who demonstrates strong attention to details and has strong passion for activewear.
Responsibilities:Collaborate closely with Design team and Director of Design to develop and execute seasonal concepts and styling that align with the brand vison and market trendsConduct market, trend, and shopping research to integrate new styling ideas with a point of viewManage an assortment of styles within your category, working closely with the team members through development and productionCreate detailed sketches on Illustrator that are understandable for buyers and factoriesBuild/Generate detailed tech packs for sampling, costing, and production purposes on PLMManage cads and linesheets with all updates for color, graphic, and fabric detailsAttend fittings and help evaluate fit samples for design detailsCommunicate Effectively with cross-functional teams such as Graphic Design, Product Development, Technical Design, Sales and Production throughout design processesMaintain keen attention to detail throughout the product development and production processes using problem solving skillsCommunicate with overseas sample room for meeting line samplingEnsure workflow meets the needs of the seasonal design calendar
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or equivalent qualifications3+ years experience in fashion industryStrong Illustrator and Photoshop abilitiesFamiliarity with Excel, Word and the Mac platformStrong creative eye, attention to detail and understanding of women’s active marketWell organized with strong problem-solving, time management and communication skillsSense of urgency and accountability with a strong work ethic and positive attitudePLM experience a plus3D Clo a plus
Annual salary range starting at $60,000
