Job Description
The Associate Director of Learning Design collaborates with other Educational Directors to establish the academic agenda and work plan and deliver communications of the plan. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and content value of hybrid program curricula, ensuring compliance of curricula and methodology with all regulations and professional standards; implementing program integrity appropriate to the mission of the institution and maintaining educational standards. This positions provides and maintains successful delivery of on-line course content across programs, compliance with accrediting agency standards, corporate policies and state regulations.
The Associate Director of Learning Design will…
- Maintain the highest level of innovation and subject knowledge within the programs' associated occupations
- Maintain current knowledge of state and federal regulations related to the programs' associated occupations and industry trends
- Attend state association and regulatory body meetings as appropriate
- Assist with application process for approval of new programs and changes to existing programs
- Responsible for the design and development of all hybrid learning curricula.
- Responsible for the development and diversification of the institution’s program offerings
- Provide oversight to and ensure standardization of the writing and revision of on-line, hybrid, and residential curriculum, syllabi, lesson plans, course schedules, course descriptions, assessment tools, grading policies, supplemental course materials, catalog presentation of the program and any school materials related to all program offerings.
- Manage development of curriculum on the LMS platform
- Research, develop, and/or approve suggested learning tools to supplement course delivery
- Assist with coordination of scheduling patterns of courses.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required; master’s degree preferred
- Minimum three years of curriculum design experience.
- Minimum two years of direct and/or indirect supervisory experience.
- Excellent Interpersonal, Communication, Team Building and Employee Development skills
- Educational curriculum design; direct or indirect supervisory skills
