Description JOB SUMMARY The UX & Graphic Designer is responsible for crafting intuitive user experiences and creating graphic design assets for marketing materials. The UX & Graphic Designer will work on fast-execution projects and focus on solving problems and iterating toward a solution while working with a team of Product Managers and Software Developers in an agile environment. In addition, they will design visual elements for various marketing materials, including digital and print, ensuring alignment with brand objectives and strategies. The UX & Graphic Designer must be comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. Customer obsession and the ability to dive deep into the details are essential to success in this role. User Experience (UX): Create and refine user-centered visual design solutions including wireframes, mockups, and prototypes. Assist the UX Design Manager with pushing concepts/wireframes to higher fidelity designs. Assist with developing product concepts, product discovery, and conducting/analyzing user research to help build solutions. Utilize, maintain, and contribute to the digital design style guide. Collaborate with cross-functional team members (Product Managers, QA Analysts, Developers). Conduct competitive research to identify design opportunities and industry trends and stay current with industry-wide changes in design philosophy and new UX design tools/technologies. Present and articulate designs and ideas to stakeholders and cross-functional team members while soliciting feedback and making appropriate changes. Comply with all corporate and departmental policies/procedures and applicable governmental regulations. Graphic Design: Collaborate with the Brand & Marketing team to develop concepts and designs for print and digital media, including web assets, social media graphics, email campaigns, flyers, brochures, etc. Create designs that are visually appealing and effective in communicating information to our target audience, while working within an established brand style guide. Modify existing designs to meet business needs or to improve design quality, as needed. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY None QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree 2+ years of experience in a UX-related role (e.g., Interaction Designer, Visual Designer, Product Designer, Web Designer) Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, and Illustrator Proficiency with collaboration tools like Miro Experience creating both digital and print design Strong understanding of design fundamentals Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG) and ensuring that designs are compliant An understanding of front-end development (coding is not required) Familiarity with user research Highly responsible, organized, collaborative, and self-motivated Highly detail-oriented Portfolio of design work demonstrating a strong understanding of design process and a capacity to create compelling design solutions Experience working on a collaborative agile software development team PREFERRED SKILLS Bachelor's degree in design-related field, such as Human Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, UX Design, or Graphic Design Enjoys variation in day-to-day projects, switching tactfully between UX and graphic design Familiarity with designing for mobile platforms Apply a user-centered design approach using Google Material design Flexibility surrounding different project types and timelines ADDITIONAL NOTES The ideal candidate will: Know when to follow "best practices" and when to innovate Be comfortable working independently at a fast-paced company where the feedback cycle is measured in hours rather than weeks.
