If you're passionate about consumer products, e-commerce, and high-growth start-ups, keep reading!Job Summary:Ruggable seeks an experienced, self-motivated contract Textile Designer to join its Textile Design Team. This role needs a creative and highly detail-oriented individual who is excellent at time management, fluent in Photoshop, and has a passion for rugs/interior design. The ideal candidate will have Textile experience, be fluent in Adobe Photoshop, familiar with Illustrator, show strong drawing and fine art skills, and be excited about textile design and staying on top of home décor trends.What You'll Do:Create up-to-date textile designs that are relevant and trend-setting while upholding the aesthetic of the Ruggable brandWork with a talented team of designers and creative leaders, contributing to discussions on design iterationsPrioritize tasks and meet deadlines; assist with team projectsMake cohesive and clean files and share them according to specificationsUse your strong communication skills to: listen, ask relevant questions, and take action effectivelyWhat You'll Need to Have:Required: A degree in Textile Design and related work experienceExperience working in textiles: a good understanding of the Textile design process and familiarity with engineered patterns.Excellent Photoshop and technical design skills including but not limited to: clean working techniques, file organization, and file managementA desire to see your team succeed and be a key contributor to that success through teamwork, collaboration, and hard workStrong communication skills and sense of professionalism with the ability to use discretion and be self-reflectiveAbility to learn quickly and demonstrate an understanding of what creative leaders are looking for in reviewsPreferred: A strong interest or aptitude in home/interior design textiles, specifically rug/carpet designA portfolio of traditional, Persian, or ornate rug or textile patterns/designsSkills in other design programs, especially textile-specific programs (Fresco, Procreate, etc.)Details: $35/hour25-35 hours per weekHours are flexible, but there will be semi-flexible, 1 hour meetings most days between 9-5pm PST3-4x per week these meetings will be in person at our office in Torrance, CAAt Ruggable, we offer competitive compensation and benefits packages.
