MHN Digital Marketing & Media Manager

The system level position possesses a digital-first mindset with proven skills and experience to develop and lead high-impact digital marketing strategies for Marshall Health Network, its hospitals, facilities, and programs in alignment with the health system's strategic priorities. The scope of oversight includes web and social media strategy and development, media relations management, lead generation and conversion via search engine marketing, and management of consumer-facing tools with reporting of overall digital engagement. To achieve these objectives, the Digital Marketing & Media Manager must stay abreast of the latest digital trends and best practices to adopt as appropriate, routinely interface with executive leadership, and select and lead strategic relationships with various agencies and technology vendors. In addition, the manager must be a strategic thinker, excellent writer, clear and concise communicator and have analytical abilities.

Plans and implements client and agency digital media strategy - developing brand awareness, maintaining search engine optimized content and generating inbound traffic. Possesses solid understanding of web standards and best practices, with proven experience with digital marketing platforms and strategies. Leads digital campaign coordination, web content management strategies, and presentation of digital platform performance.Social media : Generates an enterprise-wide content calendar and schedules, tracks and maintains monthly metrics report while ensuring that all MHN social media channels are updated and relevant. Works with key stakeholders to gather content including photos and videos for creative storytelling, generating brand awareness and building trust with audiences.Media relations:
Supports media relations, both proactive and reactive, and serves as spokesperson for news pitches, media responses and crisis communications. Researches, writes, and disseminates news releases, feature stories, photo releases, story pitches, staff announcements, health calendars and events, and other appropriate news media, within established deadlines. Provides information, materials, photographs or arranges interviews when MHN is placing stories and information in selected electronic and print vehicles to share the health system's message. This position will also serve as the PIO for emergency management situations within MHN.Writing, Researching and Planning:
Exceptional written and spoken communication skills to receive and interpret complex information and produce meaningful communications that reflect the goals of MHN. Creates clear, concise communications that effectively articulate key messages that reach various audiences. Understands the key elements of communications plans, establishes deliverables and timelines, provides recommendations, and carries out tactics. Seeks to understand the needs of consumers and the current business environment to reach targeted audiences most effectively.Editing : Participates in marketing team editing and proofing process, adheres to MHN corporate standards and AP Style Guide.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or other appropriate field of study required2 - 5 years of position related experience:
Experience implementing and managing social media campaigns, SEO/SEM, and website content management systems like Silverstripe or Wordpress.Experience in media relations with strong relationships established with state, regional and local mediaPrevious experience in the health care industry is preferred.Experience in working cross-functionally across a company and the ability to work in a small team environment.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite tools, Matomo (or similar analytics tool) and Meltwater (or similar social media management and scheduling tool)Demonstrated understanding of website UX design and best-practice digital designKnowledge of Silverstripe or other web content management systems. Google Adwords certification is a plus.
