Seeking an experienced and technically skilled

Audio Visual Field Engineer

to support the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of AV systems at client sites. This role requires a strong understanding of both hardware and software associated with AV technologies, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams. You will be the face of our company on-site, ensuring that installations are completed to the highest standards and providing ongoing support to ensure client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

You will be doing:

Installation & Commissioning :Install, configure, and commission audio-visual equipment, including projectors, displays, sound systems, video conferencing systems, digital signage, and control systems (Crestron, Extron, etc.) at client sites.

System Integration & Configuration :Work on integrating audio-visual systems with network infrastructure and IT systems, ensuring compatibility and performance.

Troubleshooting & Repairs :Provide timely on-site troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of AV equipment, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.

Client Interaction & Support :Offer on-site technical support and training to clients, ensuring they are able to use and maintain their AV systems effectively.

Documentation & Reporting :Prepare detailed field service reports, including installation documentation, troubleshooting logs, and any issues encountered. Ensure all service calls are closed in a timely manner.

Maintenance & System Upgrades :Perform regular maintenance and system upgrades to ensure AV systems are functioning optimally and in line with the latest technological advancements.

System Testing & Quality Assurance :Conduct testing to ensure all systems are working correctly post-installation and that all system configurations are in line with client specifications.

Collaboration & Coordination :Coordinate with project managers, clients, and internal teams to ensure timely project completion, address concerns, and deliver high-quality service.

Safety & Compliance :Ensure all work complies with safety standards, local regulations, and company policies, especially when working in live environments like corporate offices, education facilities, or event venues.Qualifications

What Sets You Apart?

Experience :5+ years of experience in audio-visual system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.Previous experience working in corporate environments, event management, or education sector is a plus.

Skills :Strong technical skills in audio-visual hardware and software, including sound systems, projectors, video walls, and control systems.Familiarity with AV over IP, video conferencing solutions, and network-based AV systems.Excellent troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software-related issues.Good understanding of signal flow, wiring standards, and system integration.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues.

Certifications

(Optional, but Preferred):CTS (Certified Technology Specialist)Videoconference Engineer certifications are a plusAudio DSP certifications

$90,000 - $120,000 a year
