Our client, a higher education institute located in the Boston area, is seeking a Communications Coordinator to join their team for 3+ months. The hours for this role are Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm and it is compensating $25 an hour. Qualified and interested candidates are encouraged to apply today for immediate consideration.Responsibilities:Oversee, plan, and execute the communications calendarLead maintenance and updates to websiteDevelop long and short form content for and manage social media sitesManage and update contacts databaseCreate and design program, event, and recruitment print/marketing materialsDesign, write, and disseminate newsletterSupport the writing of annual fundraising appeals, stewardship materials, and other donor related campaignsEducate and train staff on communication/marketing best practices. Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of communications/marketing or related experience required Bachelors degree in communications, photojournalism, broadcast journalism, film, media, visual arts, or related field preferred.Strong verbal and written communication skills, including knowledge of AP styleStrong technical skills, including demonstrated proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suites, Google Suites, Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Constant Contact, Wordpress and VimeoAbility to effectively manage time with multiple concurrent projects in an evolving environment Proficient with various communications platforms, including web, email, social media, and print.Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript preferred.Beacon Hill is an Equal Opportunity Employer that values the strength diversity brings to the workplace.
