Mechanical Designer.
The Mechanical Designer will use computer-based tools to design parts and assemblies, create production drawings, and manage a parts list. Designers will also originate, develop, or modify product designs from conception to finished manufacturing documentation assuring quality, manufacturability, functionality, serviceability, and cost has been considered. What you will do:Create engineering documentation including SolidWorks, modeling, fabrication, and purchase drawings that conform to Daikin standardsTranslate engineering/marketing intent into manufacturing documentationWork with Marketing/Sales to provide documentation for original designs or custom modifications of current products to meet weekly production schedulesExhibit a sense of design and mechanical aptitude with abstract thinking and reasoning skills.Demonstrate creative ability, accuracy, and cost-effectivenessComplete work assignments within a determined time frame and use judgment in determining assignment goalsGain knowledge of design and manufacturing practices, processes, and Daikin productsDemonstrate an understanding of legacy bill of material systems and product structuring logicBe part of and function in a team environment including cross-functional and inter-departmental teams

Minimum Qualifications:Vocational or Technical Degree or Associates in Design/DraftingTwo years of related experienceSolidWorks experienceWork visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications:Sheet metal design and/or HVAC products
