Job descriptionWe have an immediate opening for a lead Audio Visual Technician III to join our California office located in Los Alamitos. The technician will be an integral part of a team dedicated to installation and service. We seek individuals with technical aptitude and a great attitude.
Primary Role
Lead and perform installation tasks for AV projects such as pulling and terminating cable, mounting projectors, displays and dvLED walls, rack wiring, etc. in addition to maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of AV equipment.
Detailed Activities
Lead the installation and integration of innovative AV technologies from manufacturers such as Barco, Biamp, Christie Digital, Crestron, Extron, Middle Atlantic, NVIDIA, Poly, Samsung, Shure, Sony and Microsoft Teams in our systems.Assist with onsite commissioningPerform preventative maintenance services, routine testing, and problem diagnosis of integrated systemsRead and interpret architectural drawings, schematics, and blueprintsAbility to balance multiple tasks and changing prioritiesExercise appropriate judgement when dealing with customers and planning/executing tasksEffective communication with clients and colleaguesTest and evaluate new technology and methods of implementationAccountable for ensuring that all job tasks are performed in accordance with IGI standardsGrow professionally through ongoing training and certifications
Job requirementsMinimum high school diploma or equivalentAdvanced knowledge of commercial audiovisual systemsAble to differentiate colors5-7 years of related experience as an AV integration technician preferredAdvanced knowledge of AV systems integration, and working knowledge of wall/ceiling construction techniquesBiamp DSP experience a plus

Travel
Regular local, and occasional out of state/overnight travel.
Work Hours
Normal work hours for the Audio Visual Technician position are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.
Pay
Compensation range is $26/hr. - $38/hr. depending on experience.

Advanced Visualization projects involve the design, engineering, fabrication and building of large scale, high-resolution visualization systems for the Fortune 50 and U.S. Military. These technology solutions include PowerWalls, virtual reality (VR) Rooms, and immersive stereo/3D technologies including motion capture labs.
Advanced Audio-Visual Integrations projects consist of large dvLED and other LED video wall solutions, control rooms, and other complex, sophisticated solutions.
IGI's Corporate AV systems provide users with the collaboration tools necessary to succeed in today’s ever evolving technological environment.
