Stephens College is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach a Motion Design course in the Communication Design program in the Spring 2025 semester. Stephens College is now offering the curriculum in the Block Plan, which is an immersive, in-depth course of three- and one-half weeks.


Course Description

In COMD 350 Motion Design, students will develop practical applications to solve motion design problems using ideation, research, execution, and presentation of projects. The course will emphasize developing a discerning eye and technical expertise in producing high-quality work in the field of motion design.


Course Meeting Times

January 13-February 5, 2025

9 am-12 pm, Monday-Friday

Requirements:
  • MFA or PhD in animation, design, or closely related field.
  • Those with a BFA in animation, design, or closely related field with extensive professional experience will be considered.
  • Evidence of communication and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with a multicultural population and awareness of issues affecting women and minorities.
