PROGRAM SUMMARY:
The Idaho Out-of-School Network (ION) increases high quality learning opportunities beyond the school day that prepare youth for success in education, careers and life. ION accomplishes this by 1) Increasing awareness of and access to out-of-school programs 2) Organizing policy and partnerships for out-of-school (OST) programs 3) Nurturing quality and professional development for OST programs. ION brings private and public sectors together to accomplish these goals, as well as to affect policy for and investment in the quality and expansion of Idaho’s OST programs.
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for a compassionate and effective communicator to direct and implement our communication plan and achieve measurable impact for the Idaho Out-of-School Network and the community. The Communications and Community Relations Coordinator is responsible for external communication for ION as well as supporting internal communications processes. The position requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills, the ability to create sustainable partnerships and collaborations, aptitude for strategic and tactical thinking, and a keen attention to detail. We are looking for someone who will communicate the exceptional value of OST programs statewide and implement the mission, vision and goals of ION along with the team.
