We are looking for an experienced manager to lead our cross-product Tools HI design team built to deliver new and engaging experiences for our customers. These products are the engines that power our partner’s ability to start, manage, and grow their business integrating their content across Apple Services. We are looking for a talented Design Manager who is passionate about user experience design and wants to shape these partner tools that power Apple Services.DescriptionJoin the cross-product Tools HI design team at Apple and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design intuitive and user-centric tools for our services partners. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of our tools for partners. The position requires skilled creative leadership to deliver projects under tight deadlines and with input from many senior-level stakeholders. People-first leadership skills are a must, as well as composure under pressure, problem solving, attention to detail, and the ability to mediate and cope with rapid change. Above all, the role requires a dedicated individual who understands Apple’s high standards and design aesthetic to the core. This involves maintaining a high level of visual quality, ensuring all designs are functional, comprehensive, and align with Apple's design standards. You will pay close attention to every aspect of design, from patterns and consistency to color use, typography, and subtle details, all contributing to creating seamless and enjoyable user experiences.Minimum QualificationsA portfolio of work that showcases excellence in product design leadership, creative problem solving, and the ability to bring out the best work in teams.A commitment to upholding the principles of transparency, privacy, and trust while supporting business goals.Outstanding ability to develop and communicate strategy and vision to designers, engineers, product managers, and executive leadership through writing, visuals, and presentations.Deep experience with communicating complex concepts and designs ideas through sketches, wireframes, high fidelity comps, and prototypes.10+ years of design experience with a focus on web or Apple OS interfaces.Demonstrated success in balancing technical data constructs with user requirements.Proficiency in using Sketch, Figma, Photoshop, Keynote, and similar tools.Proven track record of solving complex interaction problems across multiple platforms.Familiarity with inclusive design and accessibility, and a desire to learn more.Experience in designing web tools or software for professionals.Flexibility and comfort with ambiguity and change.Passion for Apple, our products, and our customers.Key QualificationsPreferred QualificationsOutstanding ability to lead and present a design-first vision.Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships across an organization.Self-starting, self-motivated, self-directed, and self-sufficient.Education & ExperienceAdditional RequirementsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $219,300 and $378,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
