We would love to hear how your experiences translate to this position, the University's Mission, Vision, and Values, and encourage you to submit an application today!JOB TITLE:Coordinator of Marketing and DesignJOB PURPOSE:The Coordinator of Marketing and Design is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing campaigns to promote the Art Museum's exhibitions, programs, and events. The position involves managing website content, producing press releases, and collaborating with institutional marketing for outreach. Additionally, the coordinator works with the curatorial team to develop exhibition designs. This role supports both the artistic and strategic goals of the museum by contributing creative designs, managing multiple media platforms, and conducting market research to recommend new strategies that enhance visibility and engagement.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:MarketingDevelop strategic marketing campaigns for the Art Museum, including email communication, updating community calendars, and print, radio, and television advertising.Photograph Art Museum events, programs, and exhibitions as needed for marketing purposes.Manage routine and ongoing website updates and design using UW CMS.Manage and create content for social media accounts.Produce press releases and coordinate with UW Institutional Marketing to distribute.Conduct research and evaluation to make recommendations for new marketing strategies and facilitate implementation.Design Collaborate with curatorial team to develop exhibition design for galleries, brochures, and other promotional materials.Design promotional materials for all Art Museum advertisements.Design and produce graphics/materials for Art Museum events, programs, and other public-facing projects, including advertisements, signage, etc..Design and work with suppliers to produce Art Museum merchandise.SUPPLEMENTAL FUNCTIONS: Serve as a design and production consultant to University personnel as directed.Establish and maintain documentation/records.COMPETENCIES: Technical/Professional KnowledgeGraphic Design SkillsAttention to DetailConsistencyIndependenceInitiativeREMOTE WORK ELIGIBILITY:This position provides vital support to campus customers and requires the successful candidate be available to work on campus.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Bachelor's degree in Art, Marketing, Communications, or a related fieldExperience: 1 year work-related experience in website design and content management & Experience working on multiple media platforms such as digital, print, video and social mediaRequired licensure, certification, registration or other requirements: Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use PolicyDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Excellent written, oral, and verbal communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office suite, Adobe Creative Suite programsExperience with designing, producing, and managing a marketing planDemonstrated experience as a skilled writer and editor.Strategic planning skills.Ability to work with a team to set deadlinesCritical thinking skills, can see "big picture", and highly adaptive.Experience working with senior leaders and across diverse functional areas.Ability to make proactive recommendations to leadership based upon available data.Ability to take initiative on projects, including follow-up and follow-throughREQUIRED MATERIALS:Complete the online application and upload the following for a complete application: cover letter, resume or C.V. and contact information for four work-related references.This position will remain open until filled.
