Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Interior Designer, we’ll count on you to:

  1. Take responsibility for interior design projects
  2. Develop functional requirements and project design complexities
  3. Demonstrate substantial knowledge of interior design and planning principles, building and planning code requirements, specification preparation and organization, construction costs and methods, and contract preparation and negotiation
  4. Demonstrate experience in selecting interior details, materials, color selections, furniture and furnishings selections, lighting design, space planning, and detailing
  5. Take responsibility for assignments with specified objectives that require investigation of many alternatives
  6. Work with clients on projects of various sizes
  7. Direct work efforts of others, develop detailed design concepts, produce contract documents, interpret ordinances and interpret client needs
  8. Write specifications covering interior design matters, and perform code reviews
  9. Coordinate work with other disciplines
  10. Assist other Interior Designers or Technicians, and work in all phases of the interior design process
  11. Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture or Interior Design
  2. Minimum 5 years experience
  3. May require NCIDQ exam, ID certificate or license in state where the office is located
  4. Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Photoshop
  5. Strong oral and written communication skills and experience working on large project teams
  6. Proficiency with and experience using Microsoft Office to include Project Schedule
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  8. An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position is $73,892.00 - $105,560.00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
