- inimum of 2 years experience in the maritime field
- Associates degree in drafting and design or related field
- Understanding of the design of maritime outfitting systems including: Insulation Systems, Joiner, Bulkhead Systems, Sheathing, Ceiling Systems, Deck Covering Systems, Doors, Furniture, Galley Equipment, Gratings and Battens, and to a lesser extent, related plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and piping
- Ability to apply safety standards and adhere to industry regulations, including T9640-AC-DSP-010_HAB Habitability Design Criteria and Practices Manual, OPNAV INST 9640.1C Shipboard Habitability Program, various MIL-STD’s and MIL-PRF’s, IMO/ FTP Code, SOLAS, and MIL-S-901 Shock Classification
- Extensive understanding of best drafting practices for the maritime field
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Typical tasking for this position includes:
- Incorporate red-line markups of existing drawings.
- Support procurement in ordering remaining materials
- Incorporating Engineering Change Requests into existing drawings
- Assist planning group to address questions
This position is 100% remote. The computer and IT equipment will be provided from our team.
