We are looking for a Lead Experience Designer to bring these Ford product experiences to life.As a Lead Experience Designer in HCD, you will guide project teams to craft meaningful and connected user experiences for a specific area of focus. To do this, you will translate insights about trends and user needs into physical touchpoints using methods such as design principles, customer journeys, service blueprints, and road maps. You will team with business partners and other design teams to iterate concepts through cycles of learning, imagining, and building.What you'll do...Lead experience design project teams using design thinking methods to create vehicle experience concepts that solve for explicit and latent user needs while ensuring business success.Ensure the human is at the center of all decisions by representing the user’s voice on project teams, acting as an interpreter of their values, needs, and motivations.Connect user insights to opportunities and solutions through design principles, journey maps, use case scenarios, jobs-to-be-done, and other strategy and design methods.Clearly and persuasively communicate design recommendations to leaders and diverse stakeholders to create excitement and demonstrate the “why” behind the experiences.Bring concepts to life by collaborating with partner teams to complete key deliverables for product development process milestones.You'll have…Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) in Industrial Design, Human Factors, Research, Anthropology, or related field.7+ years of relevant work experience in the design, development, and launch of B2B or B2C facing physical products through human-centered design methods.2+ years leading teams.You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!This position is a leadership level 6.Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.Candidates for positions with Ford Motor Company must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
