Job DescriptionExperienced Wood Truss DesignerOpen to Remote in US residents only.We are an industry-leading manufacturer of building products and innovative solutions.BASIC FUNCTION: Design wood trusses according to SBCA/TPI standards and recommendations and current building codes.RESPONSIBILITIES:Read and interpret architectural and structural truss drawings.Produce individual truss designs and final layouts for the roof or floor system.Provide engineering support to clients when needed.Work in partner with sales personnel to ensure individual client needs and expectations are being met.Resolves truss problems according to engineering specifications.Maintains knowledge of all department responsibilities and job functions for support.SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:MiTek or Alpine Software experienceExperience designing for residential, custom, tract and multi-family projectsCAD experienceComputer drafting skillsStrong communication skills, written and verbalStrong math skillsAbility to handle multiple tasksAt least five years of direct experience designing floor and roof trusses requiredAll qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
