Job Summary

The Social Media Specialist is responsible for implementing the company's social media strategy to increase brand recognition and improve customer experience. They will be responsible for developing a regular publishing schedule and promoting content through social advertising.

The Social Media Specialist should have an outgoing personality who can get along well with different types of people - as they will be working with many different groups outside of marketing. Willing to work with in the established brand guidelines to produce high quality content that meets objectives and drives results.

Above all things, the candidate pays attention to detail. Looking for someone that can bring a new perspective, is creative, and handles direction well.

May involve some travel to different company locations (Louisiana, Texas) when applicable.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Social Media

Manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities Conduct monthly meetings with groups to generate proactive social media calendar Develop relevant content topics to reach the different groups' target customers Work with internal departments to develop content for social media and external use and coordinate review process. Execute social media marketing: frequency and delivery method, media profile expansion Lead, develop and execute paid social media campaigns Keep/update media calendar within marketing team Act as point of contact for social media publishing Identify publications/media outlets not currently being utilized by GATE Energy and affiliates for consideration Analyzing key metrics, competitors' social media analytics Identify tweaks to the social media strategy for the different groups Identify and implement new channels for GATE to push content Lead, develop and execute marketing campaigns that reach a target audience Provide content management including content updates and SEO for GATE Energy and affiliates Work heavily with the design team, technical writers and videographers for any graphics/video needed for their communications Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy Become an advocate for the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate

Email

Develop drip and nurture email campaigns for the different groups and products Create and Implement email campaigns on a consistent frequency

Analysis & Reporting

Support market research, competitor analysis, target market analysis, continual SWOT analysis, internal and external technology and opportunity assessment Compile reports for management showing results

Other

May be called to perform other marketing tasks such as internal communications, conference and tradeshow management and setup, etc. Advise on design options and ideas Order promotional items and printed materials from select Vendors Ability to work with all stakeholders and follow-up for review and approval

Experience & Education

Bachelor's degree with focus on Marketing, Communications or both required. Experience with the oil and gas industry is a plus, but not required Excellent consulting, writing, editing (photo/video/text), presentation and communication skills Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge Knowledge of online marketing and a good understanding of major marketing channels Positive attitude and detail oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability Enthusiastic, reliable, accurate and able to work independently Team-oriented, good communicator, able to bring ideas to the table - works closely with the other members of the marketing team and other departments to produce cohesive materials, content and graphics Manages timelines and prioritization of workload, and knows when to ask for direction Schedules tasks independently and works to meet strict deadlines Can do attitude with a high sense of urgency Advanced knowledge and experience with SharePoint and Viva Engage a plus Knowledge of Word and PowerPoint Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate/manage well at all levels Excellent written and verbal communication skills Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 50lbs without assistance Travel up to 20% possible Proficient in speaking, reading and writing the English language - necessary to preform essential functions of this job
