As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Director of Social Media and Digital Advertising to lead our digital marketing efforts. This role will oversee paid social media, influencer marketing, affiliate marketing, and PPC advertising strategies, driving traffic, conversions, and revenue growth across all six brands.
Role Overview
As the Director of Social Media and Digital Advertising, you will oversee the strategy, implementation, and optimization of organic and paid social media campaigns, influencer and affiliate partnerships, and PPC initiatives. You will align these efforts with each brand’s unique voice and goals, managing budgets, analyzing performance metrics, and contributing to the overall growth of our e-commerce platforms.
This position requires a seasoned leader with a mix of creativity, strategic vision, and data-driven decision-making, along with proven expertise in managing significant advertising budgets and delivering measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
- Develop and manage content calendars for organic and paid social media campaigns across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and others.
- Ensure consistency in brand messaging, voice, and aesthetics across all social media platforms.
- Collaborate with creative teams to produce engaging, shareable content that aligns with each brand's unique identity.
Influencer Marketing
- Identify, vet, and build relationships with influencers and brand ambassadors who align with our brand values and target audiences.
- Develop and execute influencer marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness, engagement, and sales.
- Track and analyze the performance of influencer partnerships, ensuring ROI and alignment with campaign goals.
Affiliate Marketing
- Develop and oversee affiliate marketing programs to drive revenue and expand the brand’s reach.
- Recruit and manage affiliate partners, ensuring consistent alignment with brand objectives and goals.
- Monitor affiliate performance, providing support and insights to improve conversions and engagement.
Paid Media Strategy & Execution
- Design and implement paid social media strategies to drive e-commerce traffic, customer acquisition, and revenue.
- Manage ad budgets totaling $1M+ annually across multiple platforms, optimizing for return on ad spend (ROAS) and cost per acquisition (CPA).
- Oversee audience research, targeting, and ad creative testing to maximize performance.
PPC Advertising
- Develop and manage PPC campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads and Bing Ads to complement social media efforts.
- Conduct keyword research, write ad copy, and implement bid strategies to optimize performance.
- Monitor performance metrics like Quality Scores, CTR, and conversion rates, adjusting strategies to achieve campaign goals.
Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Track and analyze campaign performance, providing actionable insights to improve engagement, conversions, and overall ROI.
- Report key metrics such as ROAS, CPA, CTR, and affiliate/influencer campaign success to senior leadership on a regular basis.
Emerging Trends & Best Practices
- Stay up-to-date on social media, influencer marketing, affiliate marketing, and PPC trends, platform updates, and industry innovations.
- Experiment with new formats and strategies to keep campaigns fresh and relevant.
Requirements
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10+ years in social media management, with a strong focus on paid social media, influencer marketing, affiliate marketing, and PPC advertising.
- Proven track record managing ad budgets of $1M+ annually.
- Platform Expertise: Advanced knowledge of platforms like Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram Ads, TikTok Ads, Pinterest Ads, Google Ads, and Bing Ads.
- Influencer & Affiliate Marketing: Demonstrated experience in developing and executing influencer and affiliate campaigns.
- Content Creation: Ability to collaborate with creative teams to develop high-performing visuals and messaging.
- Analytical Skills: Strong experience with performance metrics, data interpretation, and campaign optimization.
- DTC/E-Commerce Experience: Previous experience driving growth for direct-to-consumer (DTC) or e-commerce brands.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, ensuring collaboration and alignment with business goals.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights to stakeholders.
- Bonus: Experience working with sustainable, natural, or organic food and beverage brands.
