We are searching for an experienced Medical Editor with a sharp eye to fact check, copy edit, and proofread medical, scientific, and brand content at an industry-leading pharmaceutical training and communications agency.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Come join us as a Medical Editor and collaborate with multifunctional teams to review and edit multimedia marketing and training projects across brands. 

You’ll work on materials developed from statistical data, medical information, clinical studies, and market research, while adapting to unique brand guidelines and editorial style guides. Flexibility is key, as each brand has its own distinct requirements. Projects you’ll work on include:

  • Brand Promotional Materials + Sales Tools
    • Print + digital advertising collateral 
    • Representative-triggered communications
    • Websites
    • Visual aids
    • Case studies
    • Video scripts
  • Medical and Pharmaceutical Product eLearning Modules
  • Training Workshops + Assessment Materials
  • Presentations for Medical, Sales Force, Investor, + Patient audiences

DESIRED SKILLS + EXPERIENCE:

Education + Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required (life sciences and/or medical background preferred)
  • 3-5 years of professional editing and proofing experience in a medical communications agency or pharma company environment

Skills + Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of AMA Manual of Style
  • Excellent knowledge of medical/scientific terminology, statistics, and data analysis
  • Excellent knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Exacting attention to detail and factual accuracy
  • Exceptional written communication skills enabling clear, concise, organized comment annotation
  • Superior organizational and coordination skills
  • Adept with Google Suite, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Zoom, and web research; experience with Veeva Vault and PageProof a plus

Abilities + Curiosities

  • Able to independently review and fact/reference-check in complex medical and/or scientific data, including clinical studies
  • Able to prioritize from among multiple requests on a daily basis
  • Able to rapidly complete reviews without compromising review quality
  • Able to see and correct inconsistent document formats and graphic design themes
  • Detail-oriented, thorough, and accurate in a digital-only multiscreen environment
