Create visual communication deliverables to convey messages in a concise, clear, effective and aesthetically pleasing manner. Design brochures, newsletters, logos, signs, books, magazine ads, sponsorship signage, advertisements, social media, website and other communication materials as required.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Works closely with the Director of Communications to create artwork for newsletters, the Greenville Water website, social media platforms and other internal and external publications.

Conducts design research and gathers information and materials to develop graphics.

Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, font size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.

Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout to the Director of Communications.

Accomplishes assignments on or prior to the deadline.

Photography skills are a plus.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Ideally a bachelor's degree in graphics design, industrial design or equivalent. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills: Must be proficient in using Adobe Creative Cloud programs (including but not limited to InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Lightroom, etc.).

Design-related skills: strong graphic design skills, layout skills, analytical skills, creativity, flexibility, attention to detail, deadline-oriented, desktop publishing tools and graphic design software.
