Job Description
We are looking to add a new designer to our graphics team! Our sign shop is a fast-paced and fun
environment, where each day will be a little different than the last. While primary duties will include
graphic design work, there is also a hands-on element. You will also make custom decals, install
graphics, lay signs, and more! We are looking for someone with a passion for design, a willingness to
learn, and the flexibility to go with the flow of the sign shops needs.
Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite - primarily Illustrator and Photoshop
Reliable and dependable
Self-motivated and capable of working independently
Deadline and detail-oriented
Responsibilities:
The qualified applicant will possess an eye for detail and project management
Must maintain an understanding of company quality standards for both designs and printed
deliverables
Will work with clients to help create or recreate full color/vinyl graphics to be printed on a large
format printer and mounted to a substrate
Review graphics, layouts, and fonts before products are completed
Finalize designs to ensure they are print-ready with attention to detail
Work with designs for commercial and residential indoor and outdoor signs, vehicle wraps,
banners, lighted signs, etc.
Will need to interpret work orders and instructions to determine design outcome, size, and
materials
Retouch images to improve quality both in print and digital formats
Work with customers to achieve desired product and obtain approval
Collaborate with co-workers and management to coordinate job flow
Follow deadlines to ensure timely production
Determine size and arrangement of design, select style, and size of type, and have a knowledge
of file types/saving principals
Maintain archive of images, photos, and previous work as well as a clean work space and an
organized work order system
Communicate with customers on updates regarding their orders, including design proofs,
production updates, and installation coordination
Provide quality customer service by answering phones, greeting customers, and providing
answers to any questions they have
Be able to work with, load, and manage large-scale printers (lift up to 50 lbs.)
Assist in production when necessary, including finishing banners, laying signs, and cutting decals
