Team & Position Description:
We are currently seeking a Junior Graphic Designer to join our innovative team at Educational Insights! Here's what makes this team awesome: we thrive on creativity and fun, developing award-winning toys and games for over 60 years. Our workplace is vibrant-think laughter, riding bright-red scooters down the hallways, and constantly testing our new creations. Our toys are designed to build confidence, celebrate diversity, and spark curiosity in every child. What you'll do day to day: Collaborate with various teams to enhance performance and deliverables. Design and create engaging graphics, gifs, and simple videos for social media. Populate, file, and maintain electronic files including layouts, concepts, and artwork. Create physical mockups of packaging. Communicate design viewpoints and project status to the Design Manager/Creative Director. Assist in creating concepts, comps, layouts, and final art. Follow projects from concept to completion with support from senior team members. Additional duties as assigned. What we're looking for (Key Performance Objectives):
Develop and execute design solutions
aligning with marketing strategies, ensuring project completion from concept to final product within 3 months of hire. Use your proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
to create compelling visual content that meets our high standards for layout, typography, and design, delivering key projects within set deadlines every quarter. Utilize your organizational skills
to maintain accurate and easily accessible electronic files, aiding in efficient project management, with monthly audits and updates. Work collaboratively within and across teams , fostering a culture of creativity and open communication, contributing to weekly team meetings and brainstorming sessions. Leverage your knowledge of emerging design trends and technologies
to keep our products innovative and cutting-edge, presenting new ideas and trends to the team every 6 months. Requirements/Ideal Attributes:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. 0-2 years of practical work experience as a Graphic Designer preferred. Solid layout, typography, and design skills. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. Thorough understanding of print processes. Genuine passion for design and interest in emerging technologies. Experience in collaborative work with other designers. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite; basic knowledge of Microsoft Office. Basic knowledge of video editing and motion graphics a plus. Strong conceptual thinking and an eye for the latest design trends. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
