Senior Analyst, Retail Outlet Marketing

Wayfair, Boston, Massachusetts, us, 02298

The Product Monetization Team (within Global Returns & Incidents) provides enablement and analytics support for Wayfair's Open Box, Outlet, and Liquidation channels, as well as the expansion into any new segments involving the resale of returned and distressed inventory. The marketing function (within Outlet) is responsible for driving overall store traffic through new customer acquisition, as well as improving our conversion rate by effectively communicating the value of our product offerings. The marketing team partners with operations and technology in support of growth initiatives to scale both profitably and efficiently, which ultimately lowers the cost of operations.

What You'll Do

Develop and implement scalable marketing strategies that drive customer foot traffic to our existing Outlet stores with a high intent to purchase.

Create targeting and segmentation approaches to acquire new customers and bring existing customers back, then partner cross-functionally with teams to expand to new locations.

Conduct deep dive reviews of performance metrics to derive insights, identify opportunities, and optimize campaigns across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Google.

Build dashboards, visualizations, and prototypes to translate data sets into driving insights and actions.

Present insights or analyses to a large audience with pointed business recommendations.

Test new online and offline marketing channels that will drive incremental revenue, with proper attribution methodologies established to measure return on advertising spend.

Plan seasonal and holiday promotions across our Outlet store network; partner with the pricing and inventory replenishment functions to align on storewide or product category level discounts.

Work directly with Outlet store team associates on marketing content creation and following best practices for posting on social media platforms to drive increased brand awareness.

What You'll Need

Bachelor’s degree with a business marketing and/or communications focus; a minor in math, economics, or statistics coursework is also preferred, but not required.

2+ years of professional experience in a marketing strategy and execution role. Retail and e-commerce start-up background is strongly preferred.

Strong analytical skills, with the ability to generate insights and solutions or build a story and strategy from large data sets, including both qualitative and quantitative factors.

Excellent critical thinking, as well as verbal and written communication skills - ability to break down and communicate complex ideas in order to influence cross-functional stakeholders.

An ownership mindset with the ability to thrive in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment with a dynamic bias for action and a “get stuff done” attitude.

A desire to win as a team - collaborative team player who wants to see themselves and others succeed and thrive. Exceptional time management, organization, and attention to detail.

Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, SQL or GBQ, and data visualization tools such as Google Data Studio (Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI).
