Job Description:
LSU Online & Continuing Education seeks a dynamic and innovative person to lead and execute creative solutions across multiple platforms. This role involves both hands-on design work and leadership responsibilities. The right candidate will oversee the development of engaging visual content, ensuring all creative aligns with LSU Online's brand standards. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, a skilled project manager, and a creative problem solver who can balance multiple priorities while fostering collaboration across teams. In addition to design expertise, the person in this position will guide and support the graphic design team, ensuring projects are completed on time and meet high-quality standards. They should stay current with design trends and propose new ideas that enhance the brand experience.
Job Responsibilities:
Creative Strategy & Design - 60%Develop innovative, on-brand visual content across multiple platforms, including social media graphics, digital ads, presentations, print materials, and more.Ensure all creative assets are aligned with LSU Online's brand guidelines and effectively communicate our key messages.Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing creativity with timely delivery.
Leadership & Team Management - 20%Lead, mentor, and support the graphic design team, ensuring consistent quality and performance.Provide constructive feedback and promote professional development within the team.Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment that encourages creativity and productivity.
Project Management and Collaboration - 15%Manage design initiatives, ensuring smooth workflows, meeting deadlines, and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams (content, digital, and external vendors).Communicate clearly with stakeholders to understand their needs and provide creative solutions that support broader marketing strategies.Coordinate with external vendors and ensure the successful execution of creative projects
Innovation and Trend Analysis - 5%Stay informed on the latest design trends, tools, and techniques to continuously improve our visual assets.Proactively introduce fresh ideas and creative concepts to enhance engagement with our audience and elevate LSU Online's brand.
Additional Requirements:

- This position may be asked to work during an official closure, but who is otherwise not required to report to the physical campus during a closure and whose absence does not present a risk to the safety, resources, and well-being of the campus per FASOP HR-01.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, UX UI, or Marketing with 5+ years of related experience
