TeamDDB is an integrated agency team composed of 8 Omnicom agencies and one outside research agency (i.e. Fors Marsh). TeamDDB is exclusively dedicated to servicing the US Army’s Recruitment Mission. DDB is the prime agency, positioning it as the leader and chief integrator of the group. TeamDDB is approximately 250 people strong, headquartered in Chicago but with local teams across the country and a few agency specialists in Washington DC and Houston.
The US Army account is composed of Task Orders (TOs) ranging from Creative Development and Production (CD&P) to Research, to Media, to Data & Data Infrastructure (D&DI), Innovation, and beyond. On average there are 12-16 TOs active at a time.
Government and/or military experience is not required, but interest in both is very much expected.
Responsibilities
- Assists the Art Director/Copywriter in establishing visual tone, character, and messages that will effectively communicate with the target audience and fulfill the project objectives.
- Develop and execute high-quality multimedia designs for a variety of the Army’s advertising campaigns and digital projects.
- Participate in concept development, design, and art direction of traditional advertising, digital and video projects.
- Ensures compatibility of design and functionality for optimum marketing and communication value.
- Responsible for the proper and accurate position of every pixel within a client project.
- Constantly explores online design innovations and groundbreaking media techniques that may enhance a client’s marketing message.
- Works daily with the ACD and/or Project Manager to ensure all deliverables and deadlines are met within budget.
- Seeks approvals from Art directors/ACDs on all work before delivery to Account or Client.
- Participates in brainstorms.
- Assists in developing presentation decks, brand guidelines, video assets, case studies, etc.
- Collaborates with other creative staff to share learning and experience and to establish initiatives that will improve TeamDDB’s creative product.
- Partners with Account, Media, Project Management and Technical counterparts to enhance quality, productivity, and profitability of the group’s work.
- Contributes to overall office morale, spirit, character and work quality.
Qualifications
- Must have 5+ years of experience as a graphic designer for an advertising or digital agency.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Experience with video editing or motion graphics software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or After Effects.
- Art direction experience is a plus.
