Preference for candidate to be located and based out of one of our 3 offices in either Las Colinas, TX, Austin, TX, or Ottawa, ON.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a

User Experience Designer

who can craft outstanding user experiences for our cybersecurity products, serving a wide range of customer types. You will be part of a global User Experience team, working with cross-functional teams such as Product Managers, Developers, Marketing, Visual Designers, Technical Writers, and more to apply user-centered design methodologies and shape innovative solutions. Starting from understanding user needs and business goals, you will leverage your design skills to drive design discussions and decisions.

A passion for enhancing the user journey, combined with strategic thinking and a collaborative mindset, will be essential to your success in this role. You will play a key part in bridging cross-functional expertise, ensuring that the solutions we design are not only innovative but also intuitive, consistent, elegant, and maintainable.

Responsibilities:

Facilitate Cross-Team Collaboration:

Build consensus across teams to solve complex problems and align on business goals.

Project Execution : Work on scope project work, partner with product management and engineering to balancing short-term delivery needs with long-term product goals.

Deliver End-to-End Experience:

Design and model comprehensive user experiences, emphasizing user needs and problem-solving in presentations. Develop clear user flows, detailed specifications, and prototypes to effectively demonstrate the user journey.

Expand and Maintain UX Guidelines:

Identify and explore additional use cases beyond single projects to enhance existing guidelines and patterns for company-wide use

Creative Problem Solving:

Produce high-quality, research-based creative solutions to complex problems.

Collaborative Culture:

Foster a culture of collaboration and inclusive decision-making.

Effective Communication:

Document and communicate designs effectively with stakeholders and development teams.

Process Improvement:

Collaborate with UX design leads and team members to improve processes and standards.

Bonus Points:

Knowledge of the cybersecurity industry or IT management. and, Experience with design systems and platform design work.

Qualifications:

Experience:

3+ years in UX/product design, preferably in SaaS or platform services.

Design Tools:

Proficiency with Figma is a must; familiarity with other prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision) is a bonus.

Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of Mandarin is a bonus.

Collaboration:

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in cross-functional teams. A team player who can also work independently.

Problem-Solving:

Ability to solve complex design problems and make data-driven decisions.

User-Centered Design:

Deep understanding of user-centered design, interaction design, and information architecture. Capable of delivering product design solutions, including user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and final designs.

Agile Development:

Experience with agile development processes. Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.

Education:

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a related field (e.g., UX Design, HCI, Product Design) or equivalent practical experience.

Trend Micro Canada is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary for this role is CAD $115,000.00 - $140,000.00. A candidate's final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors to include, but not limited to relevant work experience, skills, and certifications
