Job Title: Audio Visual Technician

Contract: 6 Months C2H

Location: Hartford, CT

Travel: 90% traveling (local)

Position Summary: We are seeking a Lead Audio-Visual Technician responsible for installing and troubleshooting complex AV projects at client sites. This role involves significant client interaction and physical setup of AV equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• On client sites, setting up and commissioning AV equipment.
• Conduct site surveys and communicate client needs to the design team.
• Oversee installation of multi-room AV systems, coordinating with trades and IT staff.
• Train field specialists on new products and AV standards.
• Provide updates to the Project Manager and address design challenges.
• Commission AV systems, configure audio and video settings, and provide user training.
• Maintain professionalism and escalate client issues as needed.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in professional AV installations.
• Certifications: Crestron Digital Media & NVX, Biamp Tesira, Infocomm CTS-I, OSHA.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and travel extensively.
• Manual dexterity for operating equipment and assembling AV systems.
• Willingness to work outside normal hours when necessary.
