Primary Responsibilities
The following responsibilities describe the general nature of work for employees in this position, but this is not intended as an exclusive or all-inclusive inventory.Works within Marketing team to develop and implement best in class campaign concepts and creative.Ensures brand coherency and consistency across all creative output.Creates innovative concepts and implements designs for digital and print projects. This is inclusive of but not limited to:
Digital marketing assets (social, web, digital ads, dynamic content, email creative, etc.)Traditional marketing assets (print ads, brochures, signage, invitations, etc.)
Ability to execute work independently. This includes managing multiple design projects from concept to completion. This designer will be expected to manage complex projects, including campus-wide initiatives.Collaborate with high-level stakeholders and incorporate feedback into deliverables. Can articulate design decisions and rationale.Supports institution-wide initiatives as needed in both lead and supporting roles.Proactively identifies emerging design trends and contributes to robust internal creative conversations.Maintains technical knowledge by engaging in workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participation in skill development.Acts as a leader in the department, providing guidance and mentorship, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Assist in training and vendor coordination.Serves on various committees as assigned.To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. REQUIRED SKILLS
Proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator in a Mac environment.Strong knowledge of design for a variety of formats including digital and print.A keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.Demonstrated flexibility to adjust to rapidly changing requirements and schedules, and at times act on own initiative.Works collaboratively with peers and other departments to continuously improve quality and performance.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication Design or similar.3-5 years of related experience in a professional setting.Physical Demands of Work Environment
