Reporting to the Managing Director, Loan Trading, this position is responsible for leading the secondary marketing strategies related to capital investments to expand our investment network. This role builds and maintains relationships with investors, brokers, and trading partners to enhance market presence and competitiveness.
Additionally, this role monitors and analyzes market trends, interest rates, and economic indicators to inform strategic decision-making for the pricing, packaging, and final execution of originated loans to our investors. This role leads the execution of loan sales and securitizations, ensuring optimal terms, and collaborates with departmental leaders and stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate risk associated with secondary market activities.
What you will do for Fay:
Build and lead a high-performing team of Secondary Marketing professionals through effective acquisition, onboarding and training of talent. Manage performance, foster development and provide mentoring to employees Oversee the daily functions associated with loan pricing, locking, trades, boarding, collateral management, counter party approval and due diligence exception clearing Drive efforts for new salable mortgage products and act as the primary contact for the secondary market and correspondent lenders/ investors Maintain and manage all secondary market functions in the loan operating system Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, trading partners, and hedging services to execute the delivery of mortgage loans to the marketplace Partner with senior leadership and across lines of business to establish pricing/ profitability targets and track all related data Analyze performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing strategies and continuously monitor capital markets to refine secondary marketing strategies, minimize risks, and implement best practices to improve operational efficiency Formulate and maintain procedures, policies, and guidelines to ensure all operations are current and consistent with secondary market and investor requirements and guidelines Manage the execution of loan sales to ensure applicable milestones are achieved and manage warehouse lines of credit Communicate transaction status and other financial results with senior management in a timely, accurate, and effective manner Partner with operational leadership to ensure post-closing activities are executed in a timely fashion, ensuring collateral delivery to warehouse banks, final document delivery, and reconciliation Ensure all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including completion of required compliance training May collaborate on projects within the department or cross-functionally Develop domain knowledge of Fay’s business to include an understanding of short-term goals and long-term strategies for the organization Lead with broad influence through the ongoing development of relationships across the organization Ensure compliance with Fay’s policies, processes, and practices. Ensure audit and control processes are implemented, regularly assessed, current, and followed Role model ethical standards, professionalism, and code of conduct Ensure demonstrated behaviors of both self and team align with Fay's Values and Operating Principles Maintain a current working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements; ensure audit and control processes are current and followed in compliance with federal/ state requirements Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned What you will bring to Fay:
