Job Description
Are you a creative thinker with a passion for graphic design? Join our marketing team where your creativity can flourish! As a Marketing Officer and Graphic Designer, you will design projects and campaigns from concept to completion, including both print and digital advertising. You will coordinate with both internal teams and external vendors and oversee print production and distribution while working within budget guidelines. This position presents the opportunity to assist in the development of visual creative strategies for achieving marketing objectives and creatively communicating our brand. Candidate will have the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule after successfully completing training.
Principal Activities and Duties:
• Create exceptional, high-quality, creative in-branch materials, direct mail, print advertising, signs, digital messaging and all other design requests to effectively promote Dollar Bank, its employees, products, services, locations and subsidiaries while maintaining established brand standards. • Assist in the creative development and execution of Dollar Bank promotions, community outreach and events. • Timely completion and effective prioritizing of projects to meet necessary deadlines within defined budget. • Follow and respond to the direction of the Vice President of Communications. Communicate regularly with appropriate Communications Project Manager on the status of all projects. • Photoshop editing and retouching and creation of animated digital graphics. • Maintain supportive relationships with internal employees and requestors, addressing their needs in a manner consistent with the Dollar Bank brand. • Provide support for Corporate Merchandising Officer for Dollar Bank Office LED signs, electronic billboards including uploading files, scheduling new content, removing old content, maintaining media library, receiving approval of new content. • Manage and maintain graphic files and artwork within our digital asset management system • Create and coordinate consistent graphic standards for Dollar Bank (and subsidiaries) stationary package working with internal requestors and print vendor. • Evaluate and manage design software and hardware needs. • Manage design efforts of freelance artists and graphic design interns as needed. • Assist in the maintenance of paper stock and consumables for in-house printer, and coordination of internal rush print projects. • All employees have the responsibility and the accountability to serve as risk managers for their businesses by understanding, reporting, responding to, managing, and monitoring the risk they encounter daily as required by Dollar Bank's risk management program. Compliance with regulatory laws and company procedures is a required component of all position descriptions.
Qualifications:
• College degree in graphic design required. Will consider commensurate experience. • Five (5) years of experience in graphic design required. • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. • Ability to work in After Effects; Adobe Express a plus. • Thorough understanding of concept, layout, graphics, color and typography as it applies to both design for digital and print. • Thorough understanding of print production. • Knowledge of web design. • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects at one time, and work within a budget. • Excellent customer service-orientation, written, verbal and interpersonal skills. • Ambitious, creative, resourceful, highly detail-oriented and results-driven professional. • Strong analytical and planning skills, combined with the ability to coordinate the efforts of many to meet organizational goals.
