The Levy Group is looking for a Freelance Associate Technical Designer for maternity leave coverage starting in December.

ResponsibilitiesAttend product fittings for all garments with the production tech teamDevelop and manage Technical specification for all garmentsAssist factories with pattern development and modificationsWork Cross functionally with design, sales and production to manage fit and specs of all garments.Maintain documentation of all relevant data for productionManage the Pre-Production communication to factoriesInitiate all pre-production tech packs , Maintain communication with factories on tech issuesFollowing the development and production cycle/timelines to ensure all technical deadlines are achieved.Monitor quality concerns and production problems to provide solutions and recommendations.
Qualifications2+ years in apparel technical design and pattern makingMust have live fit experienceMust have extensive knowledge of pattern making & garment constructionAbility to work in high volume department and work cross functionallyStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent time management/project skillsAbility to recognize and react to changing work demandsComfortable and confident in making effective autonomous (and group) decisions in a timely manner
