Job Summary
The Sourcing and Contract Coordinator will have direct responsibility for a variety of assigned contracts, from strategy development through contract execution and contract administration. This role will provide specific oversight of sourcing and contracting needs through the various project stage gates.
Responsibilities Lead project specific sourcing and contracting efforts to develop contracting strategies for execution. Perform contracting activities - reviewing, proposing revisions and implementing agreements using standard documents/forms and contracting procedures. Effectively work with BU Partners and Stakeholders, Supply Chain Staff, Quality, HSE, Legal, and other relevant internal resources. Contract authoring utilizing Company contract tools—managing language changes through functional review and required approval processes. Analyze suitability of potential Contractors in accordance with Company and Project Specific Contractor qualification criterion. Gather market and Contractor information through market intelligence. Implement contract services in a timely and cost-efficient manner within established company policies, procedures and standards. Build and execute negotiation strategies that are win – win to ensure all project objectives are accomplished. Coordinate formal RFX for project contract Performs pre-bid and pre-award meetings. Analyzes suitability of bids dependent on time constraints, cost and quality assurance. Prepares bid evaluations and seeks appropriate approvals of awards. Supplier Performance Management - Ongoing support of the Contract Management Plans and KPI's. Handling change management and resolution of any claims or any issues. balance large number of contracts in various stages of development in both larger and smaller/local tier Listens actively and invites new ideas for shared understanding, then influences and acts to drive positive performance and achieve results Builds positive relationships based on trust and seeks collaboration across organizational boundaries to achieve goals Interprets date, analyzes results using statistical techniques and provides ongoing reports, including, but not limited to: Gathering and analyzing company spend, supply market data, and other related commercial information to drive value from supply chain activities and develop sourcing/negotiation strategies. Building Should-Cost and Total Cost of Ownership economic models for materials and services. Providing analytical support for category sourcing initiatives, contract negotiations, and bid evaluations. Monitoring and evaluating supply risks. Supporting the Supplier Performance Management process. Developing tools and processes in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Spotfire to improve the efficiency of analytical work Ensure compliance with Client policy and industry regulations. Able to apply knowledge and experience to complex problems and develop recommendations. Makes decisions within broad parameters. Acts as an informal resource for others with less experience.
Required Qualifications 5+ years supply chain contracting work experience
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain, Business or related field or foreign equivalent Advanced level functional background, or working knowledge of COP procurement systems (SAP and SMART by GEP) Intermediate level understanding of project management fundamentals Intermediate level knowledge and understanding of commercial terms and conditions Intermediate level contract drafting skills Intermediate level negotiation skills & ability to effectively apply analytical tools, concepts and methods Requires a strong understanding of discipline.
