The Studio Production Technician will play a critical role in the design, setup, and support of productions within client provided television and radio studio facilities for an established multi-channel retailer company. This role is responsible for:using their technical expertise and creative innovation to contribute to the overall technical strategy of television and radio production based on the creative vision and unique event scopeutilizing deep knowledge of television and radio production equipment and technology to ensure flawless operation of all equipment and decision-making skills to make real-time adjustments as needed to ensure quality control; andcollaborating with team members to optimize the operational setup of the studios and oversee the troubleshooting of all aspects of the client’s production facilities and control rooms.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIESAssist with the design, setup, and configuration of all necessary control room elements to ensure high- quality production outcomes for client studio productions.Determine the required production studio assets needed for production support and oversee the necessary testing and quality control on all items prior.Oversee the operational approach to fulfill the creative production needs for client studio productions, including but not limited to:Technical directionAudio mixingRobotic camerasVirtual platformsGraphicsVideo playbackStreamingLighting designTeleprompterUse expert knowledge of production equipment to ensure optimization of all equipment configurations and setups. Use complex decision making to recommend repair or replacement of equipment.Support post-production needs including basic clean up and content editing for event recordings.Assist in troubleshooting and maintaining all studio related equipment.Collaborate on the assessment and recommendation of solutions around overall strategy for studio and event spaces based on operational requirements.Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with team members to ensure alignment on production procedures, scheduling, and production briefs as required.WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Must-have skills & job qualifications3+ years of experience in the area of television and radio production, or another similar field.1+ years of experience in onsite, virtual, and hybrid live productions.Studio production and event experience.Experience with control room equipment including video switchers, audio consoles, robotic cameras, and video playback software.Knowledge of virtual production and meeting platforms.A keen eye for detail with a knowledge of what creatively works well for broadcast production.Track record of being strategic, organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and working well in a team atmosphere, as well as having the capability to work well individually, is essential.Ability to maintain composure and a positive attitude during high pressure situations.Strong work ethic, self-direction, self-motivation, patience, persistence, and perspective.Excellent collaboration and customer relationship skills with the understanding of the importance of white glove service.Ability to work independently and be self-reliant in the execution of daily responsibilities.Consistent proactive preparation and timely responses to multiple channels of communication.Nice-to-have skillsExperience with various production environments and video switchers including Grass Valley and Ross Acuity.Experience with audio production systems including Yamaha audio consoles, Dante audio routing networks, Shure microphones, and intercom systems.Experience with Telemetrics, Sony, Panasonic and Black Magic robotic cameras.Experience with Adder KVM systems.Experience with Haivision encoding and decoding systems.Familiarity with post-production software including Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro.College degree in video production, broadcasting, communications, or similar field.OTHER REQUIREMENTSValid driver’s license and safe driving record.Travel is required based on requirements and location of productions and service needs including meetings at client offices and AVI-SPL offices.Ability to lift/carry 50lbs.Ability to climb ladders and perform overhead work.WHY YOU’LL LIKE WORKING HEREMedical benefits, including vision and dental.PTO days (vacation, sick days, and personal days) and paid holidays.Enjoyable company culture.Training and professional development opportunities.
