Jefferies, a leading investment banking and capital markets firm, is seeking a creative freelance Video and Content Producer to support our Content Marketing and Production Team. The Producer will report into the VP of Video and the Head of Content and will be focused on a wide variety of Jefferies brand, business unit and corporate messaging projects. A strong background in corporate finance, investment banking and B2B video is preferred. The Producer will be responsible for developing and producing a range of content across different formats and styles, including short-form, mid-form and potentially long-form media projects. The ideal candidate has 4-6 years of experience and is a versatile creative with knowledge of our business and industry, and who understands B2B audiences.
This role requires a strong understanding of video, podcast, A/V and multimedia production, as well as content marketing, and a willingness to embrace ambiguity and convert it into certainty. Candidates must display competency in project management, relationship management with internal and external clients and partners, and have a good handle on working with vendors and out-of-house collaborators to drive production outcomes.
The Producer will work from our New York City headquarters and is expected to be in-office regularly for shoots and important meetings with key stakeholders.
What You'll Do:
The Producer will manage a slate of productions across Jefferies collective business units – this can range from short form videos to longer form interview-based projectsConceptualize, develop and produce engaging content video and content alongside MarketingProduce content across multiple formats, including short-form (social media, our owned Jefferies Insights page), mid-form, and potential long-form (documentary-style content)Manage all stages of production, including pre-production, production and post-productionCreate and manage production schedules, timelines, and SOWs for multiple projects simultaneously.Manage production crews for domestic and international productions, as well as manage post-production vendors across a range of deliverablesWorking with the Conferences and Events team, oversee logistics for domestic and international shoots, collaborating with key team members to support conference and event successTroubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during production to keep projects on trackOversee the edit process to ensure final content is polished, on-brand, and meets project objectives.Prepare final cuts to be viewed and signed off on by VP of Video and Head of Content, as well as internal clients
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Video Production and/or Marketing4-6+ years of experience in production with work in-studio and in the field; experience in domestic and international production is valuableProven track record of effectively leading production teamsProven experience in storytelling, content creation + content marketing, with a focus and knowledge of finance, banking and capital markets industriesUnderstanding of visual storytelling and cinematography and experience with multimedia content creation across a variety of styles, formats and approachesAdaptability to ambiguity and ever-evolving project requirementsPatience and flexibility under duress or difficult timelinesKnowledge of post-production including motion graphics, editing and audio storytellingStrong organization skills and a detail-oriented workstyleExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent attention to detail and follow-throughExperience and knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Microsoft 365 and Office SuiteExperience and knowledge of Sony camera systems (FX6, FR7) and an interest in learning to use Tricaster-enabled video production technology. Knowledge of lighting and audio production is valuable
