Overview:We are seeking a talented and experienced Lighting Artist to join our game cinematics team. As a vital member of our creative team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge AAA video games. If you are a passionate lighting artist with a keen eye for detail and a drive for excellence, we want you on our team! This is an on-site role located in Los Angeles, CA.
Responsibilities:Create dynamic and immersive lighting that enhances gameplay and storytelling using industry-standard tools and techniques.Work closely with the CG Supervisor, Art Director, and other artists to develop and implement lighting solutions that enhance cinematics.Optimize lighting and shadowing for optimal performance across various gaming platforms.Troubleshoot technical issues related to lighting in collaboration with other team members.Manage and prioritize tasks to ensure timely delivery of high-quality lighting assets.Stay up-to-date on the latest rendering technologies and lighting techniques relevant to the game industry.Conduct research and experimentation to improve lighting workflows and quality.Demonstrate a strong understanding of lighting in Unreal Engine 5 (UE5) and setup for different scenarios, including performance considerations and gameplay dynamics.Requirements:3 to 5 years of experience as a Lighting Artist in the video game industry.Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional skills in lighting, shading, and material creation.Proficiency in Unreal Engine 5 and Lumen, with experience in Houdini.In-depth understanding of rendering pipelines and optimization techniques for real-time rendering engines.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with various teams.Knowledge of game engine budgets, memory limits, and performance constraints.
