Job Title: Videographer Location: Hybrid Type: 12 month contract Position Description Weris is seeking a highly skilled and creative freelancer to support our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in multimedia production, including video and audio production for training videos, webcasts, podcasts, and other digital content. This role will be responsible for overseeing the entire video production process, from pre-production planning to post-production editing. This role involves working with state-of-the-art audio/video equipment, collaborating with producers and marketing teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality video products. This is a hybrid role with work performed at least 2 days per week at the customer located in Vienna, VA. The project is currently slated for 12 months however there is a chance it could be extended. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Set up and operate video cameras, lighting, and related audio equipment for video production. Schedule and conduct photo/video shoots, including potential travel. Coordinate interviews and support video production from start to finish. Advise producers and marketing managers on shot selection, lighting, and post-production edits to meet project needs. Edit video products, adding narration, music, special effects, graphics, and animation as needed. Design and execute the complete video process: concept visioning, storyboarding, scripting, shooting, and post-production. Provide voice-over actors and other talents if necessary. Work closely with the FHWA Public Affairs Office to manage video distribution and publishing. Maintain source files and records in FHWA/DOT systems, ensuring compliance and data accuracy. Record, edit, and enhance narrations for use in training materials and videos. Ensure consistent sound quality and volume levels for all multimedia projects. Produce and develop podcasts, incorporating music and ensuring quality production. Track licenses and royalties on a SharePoint system as designated by the client. Provide expertise to Program Managers on audio production and post-production processes, including reviewing third-party audio deliverables. Qualifications- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: 10 Years experience in a related field. Bachelor’s degree required in multimedia design, graphic design, or related field. Extensive knowledge of videography, particularly related to the production of training videos. Proven ability to develop storyboards and scripts, shoot training videos, and apply post-production techniques to create polished, final products. Proficiency in one or more video editing suites (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar). Strong understanding of integrating multimedia elements into video productions, including animation and motion graphics. Experience working in a video studio/green room environment to produce high-quality training videos. Ability to manage the full video production lifecycle, from concept development to post-production. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and clients on production needs and specifications.
